What is a Grogu YoPaca Felted Sculpture?

Grogu Baby YoPaca is an adorable tiny creation inspired by Grogu from Star Wars. Baby Yoda + Alpaca = Grogu YoPaca! He is from our character collection, a creative collection that attempts to capture the real personality of each little guy through the meticulous details of his eyes, ears, and attire. A true keepsake for a special gift or your personal collection. He is made entirely by hand and stands a few inches tall. He is made from deliciously soft and natural fiber. His colored fiber is dyed by hand in small batches. We finish each one with a loop for hanging. Due to the handcrafting process, each piece is unique with slight variations. Faces are sewn and created with love.
  • Made using certified alpaca fiber and highland wool
  • We pay special attention to the decor on each individual
  • Artistically handcrafted by Grupo de Madres
  • Gently posable armature
  • Fair Trade from Peru

What Is Alpaca Fiber?

Alpaca was once considered a gift from the gods and the most important relic of the history of the Incas. Alpacas are camelids since they share genetic material with camels. However, they are one of the four native species native species to South America.  There are two distinct breeds of these four-legged animals: the Huacaya alpaca and the Suri alpaca. The types of fiber derived from each of these types of alpacas are equally prized for different reasons. Fiber derived from alpacas can be either heavy or light depending on how it is spun, which means that it is ideal for a number of different kinds of products. Compared to sheep’s wool, alpaca fiber is considerably softer, and it is also more durable.

About Needle Felting?

Needle felting is a dry felting method typically using wool with its barbs that felt quickly. However, we use alpaca for a softer and more artistic effect. Our crafters have mastered this art form and now use this media for sculptures, flat art, and clothing embellishments.

Fiber artists can needle felt for a few moments or for days at a time. This relaxing craft is now available to everyone. Please call us at 877-Alpacas (877-257-2227) for more information.
