Alpaca Fiber
The two breeds of alpacas are the Huacaya and the Suri. The types of fiber harvested from each of these breeds are equally prized for different reasons. Fiber derived from alpacas varies in weight depending on how it is spun, making it ideal for a number of different kinds of products. Compared to sheep’s wool, alpaca fiber is considerably softer and more durable.
About Furry Friends' Construction:
Alpacas perish due to harsh natural conditions, usually from December to March. We treat the pelts with our special tanning process that yields the best hides for the best collection of alpaca. Each bear is filled with a hypoallergenic fiber and stitched by hand to give an expressive face. We embroider the nose and mouth by hand for a special expression every time. Our safety eyes meet USA & European Toy Safety Standards. Our bears are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
