Pastora With Suri: Acrylic Painting

Original one-of-a-kind acrylic painting, signed by the Latin American artist Javier Luque. In the picture, the viewer sees an Andean *pastora* (shepherdess) and some suri alpacas in a mountain pasture, seen from behind. 
In this region of Peru, herding costume includes a white hat with a broad brim and ribbon trim, a red shawl worn over an embroidered white blouse, a woven belt (chumpi), and a pale blue-and-white patterned skirt with an apron tied at the waist. Her black braided hair is under the hat.
