About the Artist – Milagros
Every portrait begins in the hands of Milagros, a gifted second-generation fiber artist. Raised in a household where felting was both a livelihood and a legacy, she learned at her mother’s side—not just the techniques, but the art of storytelling through fiber.
Formally trained in fine arts, Milagros approaches felting as painting with alpaca fiber—layering texture, light, and color to create dimension and emotion. Her love of color is matched only by her ability to sculpt life into every detail. Though naturally reserved, she is a quiet force: an advocate for children’s rights in her community, and an example of strength and compassion through art.
Behind her stands a small, dedicated team of artisans who help bring her vision to life—ensuring each portrait is not only technically exquisite, but also infused with care and humanity.
